I am thrilled to share that our esteemed institution, Vana Vani School, has completed 59 years of dedicated service to society. As we embark on our Diamond Jubilee (60 years) celebrations during the upcoming academic year of 2023-2024, we express our heartfelt gratitude to IIT Madras for their unwavering support in all our endeavours.
I am honoured to serve as the principal of this outstanding and prestigious school, and I am fortunate to work alongside a team of exceptional teachers, staff members, students, and supportive parents. Together, we strive towards a noble cause and cherish every moment spent with our students. Amidst our collective busyness, we consistently take risks and continuously learn. Exploring new avenues requires immense energy, and every year our teachers introduce innovative initiatives that enhance the brilliance of our students.
Many of our alumni hold influential positions worldwide, and a few of them have graciously motivated the aspiring legends of Vana Vani through inspirational speeches, fostering holistic self-development and contributing significantly to society.
Our proud history boasts students who have gained admission to top-ranked universities and colleges worldwide. Some notable institutions include IIT Madras, Ohio State University, National University of Singapore, Stanley, Omandurar, Vellore, Mysore & Balaji Medical colleges, NID Ahmedabad, NIFT, National Law School Bangalore, Jindal Global Law School, JGU, ATLAS Pune, Anna University, AMIT & Anglo east Marine College, MEASI College of Architecture, and the list goes on. Moreover, our school extensively supports students preparing for competitive exams such as IIT-JEE, NEET, NID, NATA, CLAT, IELTS, and others.
Our students excel academically and shine in sports, earning medals and participating in events like Khelo India for Gymnastics, Cycling, Rowing, Swimming, and Athletics. Our students have represented the school internationally in Squash and achieved notable success in nationallevel Karate, Silambam, Skating, and Handball. For the past 23 consecutive years, our students have secured the overall Championship for Central Chennai District D-Zone in both boys and girls categories. Furthermore, our students extraordinary performances have been recorded in the Guinness World Book of Records.
While Vana Vani School follows the Tamil Nadu State Board curriculum, approved by the Department of School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu, we ensure that our teaching aligns with the standards of CBSE, IB, and the National Education Policy (NEP) of 2020 to provide the highest quality education. Our students actively participate in various programs organized by IITM, which kindle and nurture their interests in all departments of IITM.
Our teachers invaluable experience and expertise, accumulated over two to three decades, stand as our greatest asset. Their dedication and serviceoriented approach have nurtured our students, enabling them to become responsible and contributing members of society. Our students actively engage in various co-curricular activities, including inter and intra-school competitions, Annual days, Sports days, Cultural programs, Science project displays, Seminars, Workshops, Yoga day, Reading day, and more.
Our non-teaching staff has consistently demonstrated a willingness to learn and adapt to changes. Their remarkable contributions behind the scenes have ensured every events success, ensuring everything is flawless on stage.
